    Healing Emotional Wounds

    pink tulipsI still remember the moment, this happened, I still can remember what I thought as the young man across from me said without apology ‘the bible is my counsellor’ I was confused and slightly amused.  I know the bible has everything we need to help us through any situation that we encounter in life nevertheless, this statement puzzled me for a number of reasons.

    1.  It was convenient 

    The bible is often used to hide behind when we do not want to change.

    2. It was a defence

    If the bible is your counsellor who will question any behaviours that you display whether healthy or unhealthy.  Therefore, the bible can be an effective shield to mask dysfunction.

    Can the bible really be my counsellor?

    Notwithstanding my encounter, I teach how to effectively apply scripture to any situation.  I believe that it has relevance to anything that we experience.  If you are a bit sceptical or would like to learn more through the next 5 days I will take you step by step through this process.

    I have one request, be prepared for the depth of this challenge, the word of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any two edge sword.

    Throughout the next five days you will be able to:

    1. Pray through scripture for emotional healing.
    2. Claim scriptures to heal wounded emotions.
    3. use the prayer of reception for any hurt.
    4. Use the bible to counteract negative feelings.
    5. Applying appropriate scripture in times of stress.
